Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption de Clermont-Ferrand
The town of Clermont-Ferrand sits in a valley surrounded by volcanoes. All of the older buildings in the city are built using black lava stone including this one of a kind black cathedral which towers over the rest of the city.

More French-ness!!
Despite living in a very modern era, the French have successfully held on to wonderful traditions of eating from quaint local stores rather than mass producing most of their supplies.
Shown below are French bakeries (boulangerie), meat stores (boucherie), pastry stores (patisserie) and an outdoor market in the town of Clermont-Ferrand.
